Spades Scoreboard ("the App") is an iOS application developed by VLVDWorks that helps you track scores, bids, tricks, bags, and rounds for the card game Spades. The App supports both individual and team play modes.

2. Information We Collect

Information You Enter in the App

When you use Spades Scoreboard, you may enter the following information:

• Player names (e.g., "Alice," "Bob")
• Game settings (play mode, number of players, scoring preferences)
• Bids, tricks taken, and round scores
• Team configurations

This information is stored locally on your device only and is never transmitted to our servers or any third party.

Information We Do Not Collect

We do not collect, store, or process any personally identifiable information (PII), device identifiers, usage analytics, or any other data from your device.

3. How We Use Information

The data you enter (player names, scores, game settings) is used solely to provide the App's core functionality — tracking and displaying your Spades game scores.

• Calculate scores, bags, penalties, and game outcomes
• Display round history and statistics
• Save your game state so you can resume later

We do not use your data for advertising, profiling, analytics, or any purpose other than the App's core scoring features.

4. Data Storage & Retention

All game data is stored locally on your device using standard iOS storage mechanisms (such as UserDefaults or local storage). Your data:

• Stays entirely on your device
• Is never uploaded to any server or cloud service
• Is never backed up by us
• Is removed when you delete the app or clear app data

If you use iCloud Backup on your device, app data may be included as part of your device backup. This is managed by Apple and your personal iCloud settings, not by us.

5. Sharing & Third Parties

Spades Scoreboard does not include any third-party analytics SDKs, advertising SDKs, or social media integrations. The App does not make any network requests related to your game data.

6. Tracking & AppTrackingTransparency

Spades Scoreboard does not track you across apps or websites. We do not use Apple's AppTrackingTransparency (ATT) framework because we do not perform any tracking.

We do not collect IDFA (Identifier for Advertisers) or any similar device identifiers.

7. Children's Privacy

Spades Scoreboard does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 (or the applicable age in your jurisdiction). Since the App does not collect any personal information from any user, it is safe for use by people of all ages.

If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has somehow provided personal information through a support email, please contact us and we will promptly delete it.

8. Security

Because all data remains on your device and is never transmitted over the internet, there is minimal risk of data exposure. Your data benefits from the security measures built into iOS, including:

• Device-level encryption
• App sandboxing (other apps cannot access your game data)
• Your device passcode, Face ID, or Touch ID protection

9. Your Rights & Choices

You have full control over your data:

• View your data: All game data is visible within the App at any time.
• Delete your data: Start a new game or delete the App to remove all stored data.
• No opt-out needed: Since we don't collect or transmit data, there's nothing to opt out of.

If you are located in the EU/EEA (GDPR), California (CCPA), or other jurisdictions with data protection laws, please note that we do not process personal data and therefore these regulations do not impose obligations on us with respect to the App's local data storage. Nonetheless, we respect your privacy rights and are happy to address any concerns.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make significant changes, we will update the "Effective Date" at the top of this page and, where appropriate, notify you through the App or our website.
